NSGS offers an accredited Hunting/Fishing Guide Course, which is a requirement in order to become a licensed Registered Guide.
1. Complete and deliver this Application to Become a Certified Guide form to your local DNR office or Conservation Officer.
2. After this form is returned to you, send copies of the following to Kim Van de Vrie at guidecourse@nsgs.com or call (902)897-7847 to make alternate arrangements:
a. The completed Application to Become a Certified Guide;
b. your Wildlife Resources Card (must indicate you are Hunter Trained if you are taking the Hunting Guide Course); and
c. if you are taking the Hunting Guide Course: your PAL.
3. Register for the course on huntns.ca. This online registration process is the only way to register for the course.

For those who have previously been registered who are looking to renew/reinstate, you can find the application form here.
The above form is accepted by email at DNRFA@novascotia.ca but if you are emailing the form do not include payment information, they will call to collect payment information. To contact the person who processes these forms, call Access Nova Scotia at (902)424-5200. Do not let them transfer you to the Business Service Unit, Hunters Ed, or DNR. If they don’t know where to send you, ask for a manager until they get you to the correct person.
